What is Ephedrine?
Ephedrine (Ephedra Sinica) is a plant native to China that is know for its ability to treat asthma, allergies, upper respiratory infections, and colds. After further research it was discovered that Ephedra had an ability to boost the metabolism while suppressing the appetite. It did not take long for diet supplement manufacturers to catch on and add ephedra as its primary ingredient. It would appear Ephedra was on track to becoming the obesity cure in America. That was until numerous counts of horrific side effects were reported.
What Are Some Of The Ephedrine Side Effects?
There were plenty of side effects to go around. Side effects included: Insomnia, headaches, trembling, nervousness, irritability, sever skin reactions, profuse preparation, itchy scalp and skin, dehydration, vomiting, hypothermia, irregular heartbeat, seizures, heart attack, stroke, or death. Ephedrine FDA Intervention
